Equal opportunity group
The equality committee at the Department of Geology and the Department of Physical geography and Ecosystem science (INES) has the following members: Johanna Stadmark (researcher) and Laurie Charrieau (PhD student) from the Department of Geology, Cecilia Akselsson (teacher/researcher), Andrew McRobert (PhD student) and Leif Holmquist (student) from INES and Natalie Nyman (TA personel).
The major task of the committee is to produce an equal opportunity plan and make yearly updates and revisions to that plan. Another important task is to increase the awareness about equal opportunities at the departments. The committee reports its work to the boards of the two departments.
Short report from lecture on stress prevention
JOLK invited the doctor and psychologist Clas Malmström to Pangea on September 15. Clas spoke about stress, what it is and how to recover from stressful situations in everyday life. Clas emphasized that the balance between recovery and activity is important. Some of the activities need to be physically exhausting as this helps the body to build new energy and thereby prevents us from getting tired.
