Florian Adolphi

In my research I focus on paleoclimatology, geochronology, and climate forcings for the late Pleistocene and Holocene. My main tool for these topics are cosmogenic radionuclides such as 10Be and 14C. These proxies can provide information on past solar activity variations, geomagnetic field changes and carbon cycle dynamics. Furthermore, they allow for synchonization of time scales from various paleoclimate archives, providing insights about past climate dynamics. In my projects I use these tools to reconstruct past solar activity variations, investigate the Sun's role in natural climate variabiltiy, and provide constraints on the temporal dynamics of past climate changes.
