Björn Berglund
Professor emeritus
Current research within three main fields:
- The development of the Baltic Sea, particularly sea-level changes and their interaction with climate changes during the last 11000 years.
- The vegetation dynamics from lateglacial to modern time, particularly the revegetation after deglaciation and the forest development during the Holocene.
- The human impact on the landscape, particularly the interaction between society and environment, in Nordic and European perspective.
- Traditional agrarian land-use and its impact on landscape and biodiversity changes in Scandinavia compared with Japan.
